Nicky has an extensive career in healthcare and is a well-respected, credible senior practitioner within the NHS & beyond. Nicky started her Nursing career back in 1993 and worked in surgical nursing for some time, before embarking upon her midwifery career.
Nicky has been in midwifery since 1998 and has a successful career within the NHS. She recently worked as a Divisional Quality Lead in a large Acute NHS Trust hospital where she could keep in touch with all healthcare related issues and focused heavily on patient safety.
However, Nicky has always been the type of practitioner to want to advance her skills and knowledge, some time ago she became interested in aesthetics out of a genuine interest in anti-ageing treatments. Her desire was to be able to offer subtle natural enhancements without the need for cosmetic surgery. Some years ago, Nicky completed a Foundation & Advanced high-quality training course in Aesthetics with Derma Medical with the training provided by respected Harley Street doctors.
Nicky recognises that everyone is unique, and that the ageing process affects every one of differently. It is important that every client is assessed individually, and time is spent undertaking a full facial analysis, along with a full medical history assessment.
Nicky is an Independent Nurse Prescriber; therefore, a full consultation appointment is undertaken (allow for up to 30 minutes) before most treatments to ensure suitability. In addition, the risks and benefits of proposed treatment are discussed with the client for them to consider. If the client wishes to proceed with the recommended treatment Nicky would bring them back 48 – 72 hours following the consultation to treat.
A consent form is discussed, agreed and signed by you, full aftercare advice is given, and all clients have a contact number for any queries. A follow up review appointment is scheduled for 2-3 weeks following treatment this allows Nicky to assess the effects of the treatment and to make any necessary adjustments.
